How to Measure for Your Skylights
Deck Mounted Self-flashing Skylights
We size our self-flashing, frame mount skylights by the inside finished opening. For example, our 24 x 48 measures 24″ by 48″ measuring from wood trim to wood trim.
Curb Mounted Skylights
We have two cap designs, a short rim that drops down 1″ over the curb (CM) and a deep rim that drops down 2″ over the curb (CM3). Think of our curb-mounting skylights as the lid to a shoe box. Measure the outside dimensions of the existing curb plus any intended flashing (the shoe box) and we will build the “lid” to fit.
